As you all may or may not know, I have been off the YouTube grid for a few months now. If you want all the details, please read my previous blog post, but basically I lost my mom. Just getting up and functioning is difficult enough, never mind expending energy on things that I should love. It has been very difficult, to say the least, to move forward. I don’t want to give up on this blog or my channel, and I knew it was time to try to at least do something I love in an effort to push off some of the intense emotions I feel almost all the time. Hopefully you don’t know how this feels, but if you do, any words of encouragement are welcome and appreciated.
ANYWAYS – why you’re here. The Subculture palette by Anastasia Beverly Hills has taken the beauty community by storm and not in a good way. A brand that usually puts out consistent, quality products is under fire for this palette and I totally get why.
I had similar negative experiences to those I saw online – blending is difficult, colors oxidize and the fall out is cray. But at the end of the day, it’s just makeup. I think I may hang onto my palette for a little bit longer to see if I can make it work but if not, I’ll return it. Because ABH has a great return policy and it’s just makeup.
If you want to see how I created the look, which I actually love a LOT, as well as see how it all blended, peep the vid!
