For all my last minute babes out there, here is one final holiday look! I received Kathleen Lights’ Havana Nights liquid lipstick in the mail this day + HAD to wear it! On my skin tone it is a deep, bricky red, perfect for the party I was going to that night + for whenever you want a bold red lip. This is the last of three traditionally holiday type looks I have shared this month and I hope you enjoyed them all! I hope you all have happy, loving, thoughtful holidays ❤ Thank you for being a part of my life! I am beyond grateful for you all xoxo!
(Sorry about the slight color changes – I was working with artificial light at night when I usually film with natural light – let me know what you think of the quality!)

The red lip is a little played out for the holidays, am I right?! I mean, I won’t lie, I LOVE a bold red lip but sometimes we want to play up the eyes instead with a little green when you’re feeling festive. This look focuses on an insanely cheap eyeliner by NYC that I was actually gifted last year and it is gorgeous! Perfect for this look.

As far as holiday makeup looks go, this one is fairly straight-forward – it’s all about a red lip, gold, fluttery lashes & glowy skin. It’s kinda my version of makeup heaven. This look can be achieved with things you probably already have in your collection & can be adapted to your features. Want to do a cat eye? Be my guest. Want to skip that nose highlight? Good on ya. Don’t feel like applying lashes? Do ya thing, girl! (or guy!) All I ask is that you enjoy yourself, cause that’s what makeup is all about.

New Years Eve is the time for glitter, sparkles, bubbles (in beverages, of course). This look was created as part of a collaboration with a subscriber who reached out to me named Sondra. We decided that we would both use the Urban Decay Naked 3 palette to create looks fit for a NYE party. In addition to makeup, I also tackled nails + hair. Sondra will be bringing you an outfit as well as makeup so make sure to head over to her channel. Doing this collaboration was so much fun! I hope this is the beginning of something new for my channel. Huge thanks also to my good friend Barrington Beats who has allowed me to use a couple of his mixes as the soundtrack to my video. If you want to hear ore of his stuff, you can find him here.
I quickly want to thank each and every one of you who has supported me throughout 2014. If you read the blog, watch the videos, or tell someone else about my little channel, thank you from the bottom of my heart. I started my YouTube channel and this blog because I truly love all things beauty + absolutely adore the beauty community already established on the web + wanted to be a part of it. Words cannot properly capture the excitement I experience when one of you tells me you tried a technique I used, watched a video I posted or learned something new. That’s the point of all this! I only hope to grow and improve in 2015 and bring you better content. Being able to share my passion has been one of the most rewarding experiences of my life!
If you’re still stumped as to what you’re going to slap on your faces come Christmas Eve + Christmas Day, look no further. Here are a few looks that you can easily pull off using whatever you have in your makeup drawers! These looks are less about the actual products I’m using and more about the concept or the technique being used. You don’t need the same exact eye shadows or lipsticks, use what you have + what makes you feel the most beautiful. If you recreate any, please use the hashtag #AmberRaeBeauty on Instagram or post photos on my Facebook page!
I hope you all have happy, safe + loving Holidays. Keep your eyes peeled for a few more videos before the end of 2014, including a collaboration! xoxo
