I have started re-watching Mad Men, in it’s entirety, much to my boyfriend’s dismay. While I am getting ready in the morning, when he’s playing a video game, filming…it is always on. Netflix continuously proves why it is my number one bae. I don’t hate myself for using that word because it’s the most fitting. ANYWAYS! I am one of those insane, voracious information gatherers when it comes to people I like, whether they are actors, musicians, comedians, friends. I like details, I like knowing why people are who they are and how they got there. That kind of history helps provide context that helps to figure out the human as they are in front of you. I was clearly meant to be an Anthropology major.
In my attempt to be a real consumer of all things Mad Men years later, I dug into what YouTube had to offer, which included this interview of January Jones on Jimmy Fallon and I was blown away by her makeup. So, I did my own version! I am all about unexpected combinations & this certainly fits the bill.

I got my paws on the latest Becca collab with Jaclyn Hill….GUYS! It’s beautiful. But I definitely need a tan to be able to rock these shades more confidently. I think a fun drinking game for this video (water, coffee, whatever, you do you) would be to take a sip every time I say the word tan. Honestly, it gets a little out of hand. Regardless, the shades are gorgeous and are INSANELY pigmented. Almost too pigmented. Use the lightest hand ever when applying each of the shades to the face because this shiz means business.
As I am typing this post it has been about 5 hours since application and my cheeks are still going strong. Somehow there has been little to no fading and I am glowing like a firefly. My boyfriend told me I looked like Nikki Tutorials today with the intense cheek and I was so happy I almost passed out. What a dude.
Hey guys! I was genuinely kind of in a rush had to do my makeup, no time to play around. I had to go with a standby look so I obviously stuck with neutrals and a cat eye, topped off with a festive Sox red lip! Even though we lost, I still had a pretty silly time drinking Sam’s Summer, wolfing down a Fenway Frank and dancing to alllll the up-at-bat songs. I have listed the products below! xoxo

The red lip is a little played out for the holidays, am I right?! I mean, I won’t lie, I LOVE a bold red lip but sometimes we want to play up the eyes instead with a little green when you’re feeling festive. This look focuses on an insanely cheap eyeliner by NYC that I was actually gifted last year and it is gorgeous! Perfect for this look.

As far as holiday makeup looks go, this one is fairly straight-forward – it’s all about a red lip, gold, fluttery lashes & glowy skin. It’s kinda my version of makeup heaven. This look can be achieved with things you probably already have in your collection & can be adapted to your features. Want to do a cat eye? Be my guest. Want to skip that nose highlight? Good on ya. Don’t feel like applying lashes? Do ya thing, girl! (or guy!) All I ask is that you enjoy yourself, cause that’s what makeup is all about.

Hi you guys! I’m back! If you didn’t know, I took a little break because I just wasn’t feeling it. And I didn’t want to film or do anything relative to YT, but I think that breaks are good! I was also sick, and I traveled to see my sister to be her date to the Marine Ball so the past couple weeks have been busy. Anyways, I posted on my Facebook just letting people know I was feeling uninspired, and the outpouring of love I got blew my mind. The support was unreal, and there was no way I could walk away from something I not only enjoy, but it turns out that it brings joy to others, too! 🙂
Here’s a little Get Ready With Me that I filmed the other day. I had just received my November Ipsy bag, so I used a bunch of those items in this look! Not going to lie, I couldn’t help myself and talked basically the entire time so it’s a long one. Love you guys!
